Understanding the Omnibus simplification package: What’s at stake for corporate sustainability

New EU proposal brings major changes to CSRD and Taxonomy – PACCT breaks it down for you

On February 26, 2025, the European Commission released the Omnibus Simplification Package, a legislative proposal that introduces substantial changes to existing EU sustainability regulations. Most notably, it impacts the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the EU Taxonomy, both of which are key pillars of Europe’s sustainable transition.
This complex and technical package could significantly affect how companies report on and align with sustainability objectives.

To support organizations in navigating these changes, PACCT for Sustainability has analyzed the proposal and is releasing two complementary resources:
  • A 4-slide summary highlighting the key points and strategic implications
  • A 15-page in-depth analysis detailing the proposed amendments and their potential consequences for businesses

These documents are available in both English and French, to ensure wide accessibility across our network.
